The trip started July 31, 2004 in Cleveland, Ohio and ended August 1, 2006 in Chicago, Illinois.  
Time 732 days one layover of just under four months and the rest of the time was on the trip

This World Record will be made official by Guinness World records around July of 2008. Some of my witness
material was lost in my Chicago accident

Lake Erie to Buffalo, NY
Erie Canal through upstate NY ending in Waterford, NY on the Hudson River
Hudson River to the tip of Manhattan,
Harlem River to East River
Through Hells Gate and around long Island and back into Manhattan
Around Staten Island up the Raritan River to the Raritan canal in New Brunswick, NJ Portaged (through
Trenton, NY)
Raritan Canal short portage to the Delaware River Near New Hope, PA
Delaware river passing through Philadelphia and into the Delaware Bay
C and D canal to the Chesapeake Bay
Chesapeake Bay to Norfolk, VA
From there I followed the intercostal waterway through canals, rivers, sounds, swamps, ocean, and bays to
Miami, FL
Then it was South around the tip of Florida through the Everglades and west side of Florida to Mobile, AL
From Mobile it was up the Mobile River to the Tom Bigbee River
The Tom Bigbee river later Joins the Tennessee River which flows into the Ohio River in Paducah, KY
50 miles downstream the Ohio River meets the Mississippi River in Cairo, IL
Paddled UP the Mississippi River (in spring) to the Illinois River just North of St Louis.         
The Illinois River dumps into the Chicago Ship and Sanitary canal which runs in Lake Michigan In Chicago.
